Lords of Velvet

Lords of Velvet is a piece for concert band with optional choir and is dedicated to the royal family of Spain. The work has a solemn and majestic character, similar to a hymn. It begins with a brief introduction of the main motif along with the (optional) chorus. Then there is a brief transition without the chorus to finally crenellate back to the main theme, this time majestically, together with the (optional) chorus and with minor variations with new rhythmic motifs in brass and percussion, among others.

Lords of Velvet es una pieza para coro y banda y está dedicada a la familia real de España. La obra tiene un carácter solemne y majestuoso, parecido a un himno. Comienza con una pequeña introducción del motivo principal junto al coro. Luego hay una pequeña transición sin el coro para, finalmente, romper de nuevo con el tema principal, esta vez de forma majestuosa, junto al coro y pequeñas variaciones con nuevos motivos rítmicos en los metales y percusión.
